The documentary is filmed over a period of then years, showing the artistic processes behind<br \/>\nthe visual stories flowing with despair, mystery and longing of small town American life. The pictures, or better cinematic narratives, are either shot on location in desolate streets or exquisitly recreated on a soundstage from scratch. None of the meticulous preparation work degrades in anyway the fascinating intrigue of the pictures.<br \/>\nTo me it even adds-up and the photographs are becoming more and more intriguing.
